Trechmanns Wharf

Lying between Strood and Snodland, Trechmanns Wharf is in a tranquil and secure location on the popular tidal section of River Medway flowing from Maidstone through to the Medway Towns of Strood, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, and London is only 25 miles away via A2(T).  We offer boat moorings for leisure vessels of all sizes at this splendid Victorian constructed wharf of 450 metres in length for moorings on the river Medway.

Trechmanns Wharf History

Once a vast cement manufacturing facility from 1850 to its closure in 1930’s extracting lime chalk from Bores Quarry behind, the complex once included many kilns and railway lines for steam locomotives with a direct connection to the Medway River Valley mainline railway line.
